NEOFLON FEP is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene. Structures with carbon atoms of PTFE, fluorine atoms, and certain fluorine atoms replaced by trifluoromethyl groups (-CF3). FEP has a lower melt viscosity than PTFE, so it can be extruded, injected, and compression molded like general thermoplastic resins. The carbon-fluorine bonding in FEP is strong. Its molecules are saturated with fluorine atoms, so they are thermal, chemical, and electrically stable.
