One-component room temperature moisture curing RTV

Corning's one-component moisture-curing adhesives typically cure at room temperature and relative humidity of 30%-80%, and can cure physical properties to more than 90% of full performance within 24-72 hours, depending on the product selected. Items and parts can be completed in less time, approximately 10-120 minutes, depending on the product selected and the dosage used on each part. These items are not intended for high containment or deep curing, and items are typically cured 0.25 inches every 7 days from the exposed surface, depending on the humidity in the air. The operating time from product use to surface dry formation typically takes a few minutes to 1 hour, and slight warming may speed up curing, but it is recommended not to exceed 60°C (140°F).

Corning's two-component room temperature curing adhesives are mixed and cured quickly at room temperature to achieve good strength within 1 hour, but full performance is not achieved until a few days later. These adhesives contain their own humidity and cure evenly throughout the item, allowing for deep curing or containment, but there are some limitations.

Corning additive curing adhesives should cure at temperatures of 100°C (212°F) or above, and cure quickly after warming。 For thicker sections or when bubbles are found, choose an adhesive with a newer one with fewer bubbles, or pre-cure at 70°C (158°F) for 30 minutes, which reduces bubbles in the elastomer. Additive curing contains all components of curing action, the curing process produces no by-products, can be cured deep or under closed coverage, the curing process is uniformly spread throughout the item, and these adhesives usually have a long working time.
